The search for that perfect white shirt.

I am constantly in the search for that perfect white shirt. The perfect shoulder fit, crisp, pristine cotton, fit that skims your body, perfect collar length; finding that shirt is pure ecstasy. I found my most recent soul-shirt at Cottonworld in Calcutta. It's perfect, we're very happy together.

Trawling Net-a-porter.com like I usually do while absconding from exam prep, I happened to stumble onto many, many fantastic tops. So I decided  that doing a post might be a good way to end my bloggers block.

This DAY BERGER ET MIKKELSEN number incorporates heavy lace and sheer cotton. Recipe for awesomesauce, I say.

Try this contrast piping DKNY blouse with a tiny silk tulip skirt to look like the perfect Stepford wife gone rogue.

This Donna Karan tunic would be perfect against a sparkling Maldivian horizon.

Oh Alber! You're such a tease. Lanvin keeps it whimsical with a bow-embellished silk tee.

Wear this draped white Michael Kors top for a night on the town. White is one of those few exceptional light colours that I feel look as good at night as do they in the day.

Miu Miu is one my newer favourite labels and ever since I saw this sequined-collar top on a mannequin, I can't stop thinking about it.

Miu Miu smashes it with another great white top - loving the tiers!

Another Black/White beauty, this time from Sandro. I can just imagine it being worn with a bright pair of tailored shorts.

Temperley London makes the most whimsical, exquisite shirts and this here is no exception. The lace and pin-tuck panels make for a perfect day to night piece.

Not a fan of the Pell, but give me a peter pan collar and I'm on board. This is from The Row.

To end on a high note, here's an absolutely AMAZING Prabal Gurung embellished-tulle blouse. Could it be more perfect? I think Prabal is one of the greatest designers of his generation, his designs are effortlessly chic and oh-so pretty, without ever being boring. I have a feeling he's going to hit a Marc Jacobs level high soon enough.

Miss me, I promise (again!) to post more often.

Trendspotting: Neon

So I was shopping the new arrivals at Net-a-Porter and I noticed this pattern. A pattern I really really like. Neons.
Bright, luscious, POW colours for spring. Yes, very predictable, but great nonetheless! I've always been a fan of neons and these pieces from the catalogue stood out. Every single one of these pieces can cut right through a muted look for that punch spring calls for. I've always been a fan of statement pieces and these just feed the greedy little 'chic' monster inside me. It never satiates, does it?

Jizz-worthy treasures from Net-A-Porter.

Net-a-porter is my ultimate favourite online shopping website. So what if all I do is browse, it's a dreamer's paradise. The items are exquisite, almost as if the collection is fastidiously curated. Here's a list of things I find droolworthy from zere. I can't wait for Mr. Porter to open. Why is 2011 so far away?!

First in line is Chloe, probably my favourite label at present. I love how Hannah MacGibbon adds a hint of whimsical to classic. It's very me!
This handbag is just orgasmic. Just looking at it makes me fanatsize about touching the buttery leather and the cold hardware. Okay, I should stop before this post has to be flagged.

This skirt is perfect. The quilting, the not too glossy leather, the chic length, everything just works here. And points for the fact that they paired it with a white shirt instead of some grungy jersey top.

Miu Miu is <3
These gloves are just the most adorable ones I've seen. And I love that they're simultaneously so grown up too! Burgundy+Bows=Genius!
You guys might have guessed my tremendous weakness for bows. Given that, there's no way I'd pass up featuring this clutch which just stole my heart. I can just see it carried to jazz up a tame-ish shift dress!

And this dress is tres magnifique! The plunging V has me going and the draping of the bottom creating an almost peplum silhouette is very elegant while still being fun and young.

Louboutin can't go without mention. There is barely anything by him I don't love (Except maybe the kitten heels. Blasphemy in the name of commercial gain, yes?) but these superdupertrouper high patent pumps just give me the best kind of rush!
I wouldn't be able to resist a woman in these. They're sex in a box!

"Lanvin, mon cherie. 'ow can I leave you out?"

Join me in admiring the unbearable gorgeousness of this satin tote.

Also, how hot is this dress? The tiers and ruffles make it a perfect wedding dress for the fun, flirty, tropical weather bride!

Valentino is just the mecca of timeless chic. You could pull a Valentino out decades after you bought it and it'll still be fantastic.
A scarlet bow clutch. And the icing on the cake, it's asymmetrical!

This bandage/bow silk skirt is so fine. Pair it with anything, from a silk tank to a fitted white shirt or even a lacy corset if you're feeling a little se-*cough*slutty*cough-xy.

And there you have it, my favourite picks from a boredom invoked browsing session. Y'like? Of course you do.
