What is it about the winter and Burberry advertisements?

I love Agyness Deyn.
Edgy perfection.
Just like Burberry advertising.

The one in which we lust after Anna Del Russo.

Why is she such a yummy?
Anna Del Russo at Vogue Paris 90th Anniversary Masquerade Ball.

I don't know anyone else who can pull this off with such class.
She's in a custom Pucci dress and she's wearing a headpiece by Gareth Pugh.

Another sexy beast that night, Tyra Banks.

Teabags just got awesome

Colette has these adorable teabags which, when you put in your tea, look like Karl Lagerfeld and Naomi Campbell are taking a tub in your tea.
They even have Jean Paul Gaultier, Claudia Schiffer and Donatella Versace

Miuccia Prada's goin' Banananananas?

Prada's Spring 2011 showing at Milan was abso-fucking-lutely legendary. I can't say I love love loved it but it was a helluva show. The banana and monkey prints were genius. Not because they were great prints but because they were the kind of prints that could potentially go very wrong and she made 'em work. I never thought Prada was the kind of house that would do something this out-there. I thought that was the kind of stuff Richie Rich and D-Squared would do. Fine, maybe Marc Jacobs, on a rave would create something to a similar effect but Prada. Uh-uh.

Her take is supposedly baroque which I can totally see but I just love how she's infuses this heady dose of pop art into the print. Even a lot of the other clothes had a neon colour palette and that's never bad. Miss Prada, hats off to ye.

Lindsay shot by Hedi Slimane

She looks tweaked out, tired and tattered. That's what you call a good shoot, where the truth is attractive, no matter how unglamorous.
Who says there can't be beauty in ugly?

I'm in love.

I wish I could pull off cool like them. They make something as mere as denim look super chic. Also, perfect fit much? I'd give anything to be able to dress like the Italians.

You tell me.

So not only is this a very hard to pull of combo but also one that's considered almost blasphemic.
A polo with a suit, and know that it won't look as good as this guy looks.

What do you think?

Jizz-worthy treasures from Net-A-Porter.

Net-a-porter is my ultimate favourite online shopping website. So what if all I do is browse, it's a dreamer's paradise. The items are exquisite, almost as if the collection is fastidiously curated. Here's a list of things I find droolworthy from zere. I can't wait for Mr. Porter to open. Why is 2011 so far away?!

First in line is Chloe, probably my favourite label at present. I love how Hannah MacGibbon adds a hint of whimsical to classic. It's very me!
This handbag is just orgasmic. Just looking at it makes me fanatsize about touching the buttery leather and the cold hardware. Okay, I should stop before this post has to be flagged.

This skirt is perfect. The quilting, the not too glossy leather, the chic length, everything just works here. And points for the fact that they paired it with a white shirt instead of some grungy jersey top.

Miu Miu is <3
These gloves are just the most adorable ones I've seen. And I love that they're simultaneously so grown up too! Burgundy+Bows=Genius!
You guys might have guessed my tremendous weakness for bows. Given that, there's no way I'd pass up featuring this clutch which just stole my heart. I can just see it carried to jazz up a tame-ish shift dress!

And this dress is tres magnifique! The plunging V has me going and the draping of the bottom creating an almost peplum silhouette is very elegant while still being fun and young.

Louboutin can't go without mention. There is barely anything by him I don't love (Except maybe the kitten heels. Blasphemy in the name of commercial gain, yes?) but these superdupertrouper high patent pumps just give me the best kind of rush!
I wouldn't be able to resist a woman in these. They're sex in a box!

"Lanvin, mon cherie. 'ow can I leave you out?"

Join me in admiring the unbearable gorgeousness of this satin tote.

Also, how hot is this dress? The tiers and ruffles make it a perfect wedding dress for the fun, flirty, tropical weather bride!

Valentino is just the mecca of timeless chic. You could pull a Valentino out decades after you bought it and it'll still be fantastic.
A scarlet bow clutch. And the icing on the cake, it's asymmetrical!

This bandage/bow silk skirt is so fine. Pair it with anything, from a silk tank to a fitted white shirt or even a lacy corset if you're feeling a little se-*cough*slutty*cough-xy.

And there you have it, my favourite picks from a boredom invoked browsing session. Y'like? Of course you do.

Inspiration+Some Old Stuff!

So I've been terribly inspired by It Looks Good To Me, which is an exquisite blog by a Brooklyn Textile Designer. It's my daily pick-me-up, if I may. Caroline has some gorgeous watercolours which she accentuates with graphic pen sketches and I wanted to try and recreate that. This is a start, and although it's beyond mediocre, I'm happy. :D

Also, some of my old stuff. Stuff I love.

When I tried doing Ready-to-wear. Focus on tried.

My Herringbone mini-collection.

My tribulations with Plaid.

I can't decide if I love this or hate it. Help me decide?

Inspiration.

I'm sure you guys have heard of Sita Sings the Blues. It's left me terribly inspired. Hilarious, gorgeous, interesting and fun all at once. The mixed-media concept is just stunning. Also, it's incredibly funny treatment of sexism had me in splits throughout.

Yes I can.

This is from GQ India June 2010.
One list I vow to make in ten years.
For sure.

I'm thinking...

JUMPSUITS! For men.

I've been noticing a lot of these blue collar types in these overalls and although I think they're a little hard to pull off, they can look very chic.

I'd say drop the waist, slim the leg and add a leather belt. You're good to go.
If I were in Europe, I'd totally be wearing them. Here, not so much.

What do you think?

Lanvin SS '11 Pre-Collection.

The Lanvin Spring/Summer 2011 pre-collection came out two days ago. I'm more than a little excited. This is why I absolutely adore the house. My dream job would be at Lanvin. This is so my style. Alber E, are you listening?

I'm thinking...

Today, I'm thinking...an ostrich handbag in pastel a la Longchamp, except, deconstructed.

Pardon once again, the hopeless camera quality.
One of these day I must muster up the courage to ask my dad for a decent picturemaker.
